Aging gracefully is a term used when women are turning older, yet embracing it.
As women, sometimes we are embarrassed to tell people our age. This may or may not happen with you. As I turned forty, I started thinking that I was not so young any more. However, I quickly realized that turning older was a real blessing. We have been given another year of life, thanks to our God almighty! This is a privilege denied to many. Instead of being ashamed of our age, we should be proud and demonstrate to all we are aging gratefully, not just gracefully!
Aging gratefully (and gracefully!) is my determination. In a few days, I will be celebrating another year of life, God willing. As I am getting older, I do feel I am getting wiser! I don’t feel my age, so I feel pretty fabulous! Although, mind you that I do have my days where this and that hurts, etc. But overall, I am thankful for all that has occurred in my life.
As I was young, I always lived in the moment. I was not so worried about my future as I was confident that the Lord would guide me. And HE has! As, I got married and had children, I kept working a full-time job, and attended to my husband, children, home, church activities, etc and now just seems that life is non-stop go, go, go! Through all the years, my life has been a constant busyness and I am sure all of you can relate to this. However, in special moments as celebrating one’s birthday or anniversary, etc., you realize the true importance of your life. How grateful one should be to see another sunrise, to have air in our lungs, to have health and so many countless blessings! Makes you just want to stop and smell the roses. Live life to the fullest. Be happy.
In honor of my upcoming birthday, I wanted to share my personal tips on how I am aging gratefully & gracefully. I thought it would be fun for my children to see how their Mama tries to unwind and help keep her sanity! Having two adults, one teenager and one nine year old are a great handful to raise and they are the ones who have taught me most of these! Believe it or not but our children teach us so much! Even though my two oldest are adults, I do look up to them in how they don’t worry about little things like I do. In addition, it reminds me how I was when I was their exact age. Isn’t life beautiful!
Here are my personal tips on how to age gracefully and most important, gratefully!
Also, as my gift to you for my birthday, here is a free printout. Print, frame and read every chance you get to remind us on how to age gracefully & gratefully! Aging Gracefully
