A fresh start for this new year is beginning and time to organize! It is time for my baking cabinet organization. Hooray! Love these challenges due to the fact that they not only motivate me, but they inspire me to organize all my spaces.
First of all, I took inventory of all the baking supplies I currently had. I had all my baking supplies in three white boxes in these cabinets and only some baking ingredients in jars. My baking utensils were here and there and in different places.
My second step was rearranging all my current OXO containers and restocking with the ingredients I use the most in my baking prep. In addition, gathered all my baking dishes and utensils and placed in one drawer. I also gathered all my small baking ingredients, cupcake liners, etc and placed them in another drawer. This also gave me the chance to take out dishes I don’t need and purge! Yippee!
My third and final step was labeling each container with my Dymo labeler. The following are my categories:
- wheat flour
- white flour
- granulated sugar
- brown sugar
- mixed berries & nuts
- powdered sugar
- chocolate chips
- packets of yeast
And here it is, my baking organization. Now, I have checked off one more item on my to do list. Next up, more organizing and cleaning. One of my main goals this year is to become a minimalist. I have to keep reminding myself of this as I struggle with it. Everything I organized here I already had on hand.
If you have any ideas or have seen other inspirations on how to become a minimalist, please share with me. I love to get new ideas! Thanks.
What a great start to our 2014, organizing our lovely spaces and motivating each other to feel good about our home. Happy organizing!
