Cheese tastes good on almost everything. I love cheese, any kind of cheese and in all forms. Fall is around the corner and this is the ideal time to serve this cheese platter. The best part about it is, you can serve this any time during the year. When you are hosting a party in your home or you are celebrating an anniversary. How romantic is it to eat small finger foods with all kinds of flavors.
I have to admit, I got this idea from traveling on vacation this past Summer. The airline we were on, offered a cheese platter and we really enjoyed the flavors. We decided to make one ourselves for a small gathering we had. It is simple yet looks very elegant.
The following are the steps to make your own cheese board platter at home:
- Start with a wood board, napkins, utensils and small plates.
- Choose your cheeses. I selected cheddar and pepper jack.
- Add your fresh fruits, olives, nuts and meats. Serve in small bowls. (I omitted meats this time)
- Lastly, add your crackers. You an also add bread, veggies and chips.
As you can see, I have added an additional marble board to add a different look. I love how the grapes hang off it. Use your own creative twist on the platters. In addition, don’t forget to add some fresh flowers as the focal point for your spread.
