Our youngest daughter told us a few days ago, let’s make our own Christmas Village! This remained in my mind until finally it dawned on me, that would be an awesome idea! Then I remembered, I haven’t seen that many in all the stores I have been to! So we can make ous very own, simple and just the way we like it.
On Saturday, my husband took me to the famous Magnolia Market. Here is where our village idea began to take form. Our eight year old daughter came along, and as her mother was drooling over all of JoAnn Gaines home decor, she right away found her item. Our daughter had selected a small miniature tree farm that was actually on sale.
No doubt in our minds, we would surely buy for her. We quickly said, “how cute!” I didn’t go crazy as my husband accompanied me, and we know how husbands can be. After spending all our morning browsing the store and purchasing a few items, we went outside to enjoy the yummiest crepes! In addition, we walked around the garden area and even saw Santa Claus. It was an awesome trip to Waco.
We purchased a few more items for our DIY village and the following is what we used:
2. We then placed the miniature trees simultaneously on the tray. Then we added the small string of lights all around house, church and tray.
My daughter is so proud to see this on our chimney and all designed by her!
