Majority of folks are running around shopping, under stress and getting ready for Christmas. There is chaos, stress, tension and anxiety about buying the perfect gifts for everyone, etc. This is not the true meaning of Christmas.
I have not bought but a couple gifts nor am I stressing about it. We all know the true meaning of Christmas, yet a lot of us get so busy in our own little worlds, jobs, bills, shopping, parties, etc. I have been doing a lot of thinking about spending and enjoying time with my loved ones. A couple of my friends were either in the hospital, hurting, ill and one is still there with an illness. We lost a loved one four years ago during this season. It makes you realize, material things are just material things. Love, health and our precious family is so much more important.
Yesterday, while I took a day off, I took my time in just organizing my cabinets, fridge and my craft closet while all kids were at school. Then when my kids came home, I focused on them. We played Christmas music, decorated gingerbread houses and ate fried oreas, while watching Christmas movies. Our middle daughter made these amazing fried Oreos! If you have gone to State Fair of Texas, you know what these are! They are so delicious!
I had never felt so relaxed. Not having an agenda, meetings nor appointments and just staying home with my kids just made me so happy.
I invite you to sit back and enjoy these moments you have. Focus on the important things like spending quality time with your loved ones. Put everything aside, and show them you care and love them dearly. Take time and savor this beautiful life our Creator gave us. We only get one life and we must enjoy every second of it.
I want to thank each and every one of you for stopping by my blog. It means the world to me, and I deeply appreciate each and every one of you.
