Planners are an integral part of your organization priority. I must write my to do lists down on paper versus any type of electronic calendars. If I don’t have a planner, I simply can not strategize and organize my home and work life.
On September of last year I was shopping at Wal-mart one day and noticed a lavender planner on sale. Being the curious shopper that I am, I took a peak and was amazed! It was the Day-Timer Family Plus Planner (5 1/2 x 8 1/2). Not only was it at a super duper low price, it had everything I needed. I am pretty simple in my choice of planners and do not need much.
Let me take you on a tour of how I keep my planner. Mind you that I am in no way a fancy, highly, detailed planner. I just keep mine simple, pretty and neat. That’s all. I don’t like anything complicated and this has fulfilled my needs in everything I want in a planner.
The only thing I keep with my planner are:
- Staedtler markers
- paper clips
- a few washi tapes
- Martha Stewart color labels & Post Its
- pens/mechanical pencils
This is the inside of the monthly two page view.
This is the look of a clean weekly view –
Left hand side:
- Important Events This Week
- To Do/Errands
- Family Members/Activities – each day of week (Mon-Fri) for each family member’s column
- Personal Time/Other
- Dinner Menu (Mon-Sun)
- Family Members/Activities for Sat & Sun
My favorite is the week’s menu planning section and family member’s by columns.
Then there is a section for websites and grocery lists:
How amazing is this? I hope you enjoyed this small tour of the cutest planner I have owned. I just love this DayTimer Family Plus Planner to pieces. I also own a Filofax for my monthly budget expenses. However, this is my “go to” daily planner and it stays on my desk.
