Love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is next week! I have always believed to show love 24/7, 365 days of the year. I get so excited with all the beautiful hearts, flowers and chocolates everywhere. I love to purchase anything with name of love or any kind of hearts because I keep it out all year round. I display on my work desk, in our family room, or pretty much anywhere! I just love love! They are inexpensive, yet beautiful home decor!
This is why I decided to do some DIY to keep in my home as long as I can. I normally choose neutral colors, with only touches of red and pink.
On my mantel, I left pretty much everything the same as I had in Christmas (minus the stockings and lights) and made a cute and very easy Valentine Heart Garland.
All you need is the following:
-One package of Recollection white heart gift tags (purchased at Michaels)
-One package of Recollection brown heart gift tags (purchased at Michaels)
-Jute twine (purchased for $1.00 at Target)
Simply place twine through alternate heart tags which already have hole and use as many as you like and hang! Easy Peasy!
In addition, just added my faux orchid and “Darling” sign from Target. This “Love” sign was purchased at Ross, greenery is from Magnolia Market and the gold tray from Target.
Dining Room Table
Purchased some pink carnations from Kroger and added them to a mason jar. Placed on this heart cutting board I purchased online, last month.
In addition, I purchased an apothecary jar from Home Goods and added the famous conversation hearts.
This is what I used:
-Off White heart shaped memo board ($11.99 on sale at Michaels)
-Heart Boxwood Wreath ($6.99 on sale at Michaels)
-Cork Heart Tags ($4.99 at Michaels – used what I had leftover from garland)
-Canvas Heart Tags ($4.99 at Michaels)
-Love You More wall hanging (TJ Maxx)
Here, I just hung heart to heart together. Added some of my leftover heart tags from my Valentine’s garland and placed around the inside of heart, and hung a black and white family photo inside. On an extra cork heart tag, wrote “Love” with a sharpie, and placed inside the boxwood heart. I hung the “Love You More” sign underneath. That’s all folks! So simple.
On my home office desk, I am displaying a “Je t’aime” vase with a piece of any ivy plant (from Target $1 section last year) and a gold candle holder (from Target Clearance section) and a Papyrus Valentine Card. Just a touch of love is all you need!
“Give Them Some Sugar”
“Give Them Some Sugar”
Don’t forget to treat your loved ones with some “lovely sweets”. Here is a recipe I have posted in the past. Just fill up some raspberries with chocolate chips. So delicious and tasty!
Nothing says love like a throw pillow on your bed. I bought this vintage style one on sale at Farmhousewares.com.
Have a wonderful weekend and let’s celebrate love all day, everyday!
